Paso Robles Police Arrest Juvenile

PASO ROBLES, CA – On 09/13/2024 at approximately 1314 hours, Paso Robles Police officers were dispatched to the area of Niblick Road and Country Club Drive where it was a reported a male juvenile had a small, black handgun and was running after another juvenile. The school resource officer was dispatched to the area and located one of the one of the involved juveniles. The male juvenile was known student from Liberty Continuation School and was cooperative with the investigation. It was determined the believed firearm was a large canister of bear mace and he was arrested for minor in possession of O.C. spray. The other juvenile fled the scene prior to officer arrival.

Fire Starts Along HWY 46 East in Paso Robles Saturday Afternoon

PASO ROBLES, CA – At 4:14 p.m. on Saturday August 31, Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services were dispatched to 9000 Highway 46 East for a reported vegetation fire.

The first arriving unit reported an approximately two-acre fire burning in grass with a moderate rate of spread threatening the Paso Robles Landfill. The fire was fully contained to 11 acres at 4:45 pm. There were no structurers damaged or firefighter injuries reported.

Three fire engines and one Battalion Chief from Paso Robles responded. Under the cities automatic aid agreements five fire engines, two bulldozers, two crews, one air attack plane, to tankers, one helicopter, and a Battalion Chief from Cal Fire/SLO County Fire responded.

The cause of the fire was undetermined.

Paso Robles Fire Department Responds To Structure Fire

PASO ROBLES, CA – On Friday August 23, 2024 at 2:56 p.m., Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to a reported structure fire in the area of 15th and Vine.

First arriving firefighters arrived within 3 minutes and identified the location as 1533 Vine Street with the report of moderate smoke showing from the rear of the structure, with no exposures threatened. The homeowner was found attempting to put out the fire on the rear porch and stated that his son and dog were still in the structure. They were all told to leave as fire had spread to the attic. The fire was contained to the attic and exterior of the structure.

Three fire engines, one Battalion Chief and one Deputy Chief responded from Paso Robles.

Under the City’s automatic aid agreement, one fire engine and one battalion chief from CAL FIRE/SLO County responded as well as one engine from the Atascadero Fire Department.

Additional assistance was provided by the Paso Robles Police Department as well as San Luis Ambulance.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Paso Robles Police Arrest Juvenile For Starting A Fire

PASO ROBLES CA- On 8/23/24 at approximately 09:43 AM, The Paso Robles Police Department was on patrol and located a brush fire in the area of N. River Rd and Union Rd. When officers arrived on scene, they saw a male juvenile running away from the scene of the fire. The fire was set to the hillside that backs up to a residential street. The Paso Robles Fire Department was able to quickly extinguish the fire. None of the nearby homes were damaged. At about 11:08 AM, the police department was notified of a male juvenile seen attempting to light a fire next to the burn spot from the earlier fire. Officers arrived on scene and located the juvenile. The juvenile was determined to be the same person who was seen running away from the fire earlier. He was placed under arrest for 452 PC, recklessly setting a fire.

Police Make Arrest In Assault With A Deadly Weapon Investigation

PASO ROBLES, CA. – On 08/04/2024 at approximately 02:07 am, Paso Robles Police was notified of a stabbing victim who was taken to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation revealed the altercation occurred in the 3300 Block of Vine Street earlier in the morning. During the investigation, 32-year-old Alberto CruzNieves of Paso Robles was identified as the suspect. It was learned that CruzNieves had fled the scene in a vehicle after the stabbing. Kern County area California Highway Patrol Officers located CruzNieves in a vehicle and took him into custody without incident. He was later booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Paso Robles Police Arrest 2 From Stolen Vehicle

PASO ROBLES CA- On 7/19/24 at approximately 12:27 PM, Officers located an occupied stolen vehicle at a gas station in 1200 block of 24″ St. The vehicle was occupied by Nicole Clark and Elmer Guerrero. Both Clark and Guerrero were taken into custody without incident during this investigation. Clark was discovered to have a warrant for her arrest for grand theft of a vehicle. Guerro also had several warrants for his arrest. During a search of the vehicle officers located 13.4 grams of suspected fentanyl along with indication of drug sales and drug paraphernalia. Clark was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Guerrero was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. Both subjects were booked into the San Luis Obispo County jail.

Local Law Enforcement Conducted Compliance Check Monday

PASO ROBLES (CA)- On Monday, July 15, 2024, the Paso Robles Police Department, along with the San Luis Obispo County Probation Department, conducted a city-wide Probation / Parole Compliance Operation, focused on offender accountability and community safety.

Thirteen subjects were contacted based on their parole or probation status. Officers seized illegal Fentanyl (5 grams), drug paraphernalia, gang indicia, and ammunition. The following subjects were arrested and were booked at the San Luis Obispo County Jail:

Nathan Williams (42 years of age from Paso Robles) – Possession of Controlled Substance and Violation of Probation.

Sarah Dukes (42 years of age from Paso Robles)- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Violation of Probation.

Additionally, the Paso Robles Police Department also conducted a compliance check on all sex offenders that are registered in the City of Paso Robles. This was done over a two-week span from May 9th to May 24th, There were no violations discovered.

Paso Robles Fire Department Extinguish Vegetation Fire In Riverbed Saturday Evening

PASO ROBLES, CA – On Saturday July 13, 2024 at approximately 7:07 PM, Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to a vegetation fire in the riverbed adjacent to Highway 101 and Highway 46 East.

First arriving firefighters found a column of smoke developing in the middle of the Salinas River corridor. Thick, overgrown vegetation made access difficult for firefighters attacking the fire. Once firefighters safely gained access, they were able to contain the fire to a 1/4 acre.

Three fire engines and one Battalion Chief from Paso Robles responded. Under the City’s automatic aid agreements, two fire engines, one Dozer, one hand crew and one Battalion Chief from Cal Fire / SLO County also responded. Additionally, one fire engine from Atascadero responded. In total 27 firefighters were needed to extinguish the blaze.

Paso Robles Police Department assisted in providing the initial location of the fire and traffic control.

Investigation of the fire indicates it was human caused. A responsible party was not located at the time of the initial investigation.

Paso Robles Fire Department along with Cal Fire SLO Respond to Vegetation Fire

PASO ROBLES, CA – On Monday July 8, 2024, at approximately 6:00 PM, Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services along with Cal Fire/San Luis Obispo County Fire responded to a report of a vegetation fire in the 2900 block of Creston Road in Paso

Firefighters arrived within 4 minutes and found a one-acre vegetation fire burning in light grass and wind-driven. Firefighters were able to stop the forward progress of the fire at 52 acres with minor damage to cellular infrastructure and no damage to any structures.

Three fire engines, a Battalion Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, and Fire Chief from Paso Robles responded. As part of the City’s mutual threat zone agreement, seven fire engines, two dozers, one water tender, three crews, three air tankers, one helicopter, one air attack, and two Battalion Chief’s responded from Cal Fire. Additional assistance was provided by both Paso Robles Police Department and San Luis County Sheriff’s department.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Paso Robles Fire Department Respond To Large Vegetation Fire Sunday Night

PASO ROBLES, CA – On Sunday June 30, 2024, at approximately 9 PM, Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to a report of a vegetation fire on Caballo Place in Paso Robles.

Firefighters arrived within 4 minutes and found a ¼ acre burning up slope in brush and grass. Firefighters were able to stop the forward progress of the fire at 3.65 acres with no damage to structures or infrastructure.

Three fire engines, a Battalion Chief and Deputy Fire Chief from Paso Robles responded.

Five engines, 2 dozers, a water tender, and two crews and a Battalion Chief responded as part of the City’s automatic and mutual aid agreements with Cal Fire, Atascadero Fire, Templeton Fire, and San Miguel Fire. Additional assistance was provided by both Paso Robles Police Department and San Luis Conty Sheriff’s department.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Several residents reported fireworks in the area just prior to the fire. Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services reminds all residents that all fireworks are illegal in the City of Paso Robles and pose great risk during critical fire weather conditions.
