One Person Succumbed To Injuries Following Traffic Collision Wednesday Night

PASO ROBLES, CA – On Wednesday , June 18th the Paso Robles Police Department Traffic Division responded for a traffic collision with injury on Highway 46E, at the intersection with Mill Road.

At approximately 9:31 p.m., PRPD dispatch received a call for a two-vehicle traffic collision with injuries. When Officers arrived on scene, it was determined the two involved vehicles were blocking Highway 46E in both eastbound and westbound lanes.

Both occupants of one of the vehicles involved were extricated from their vehicle by Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services and were later transported to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries. The driver ultimately succumbed to his injuries while at the hospital.

Paso Robles Fire Along with SLO County Fire Agencies Respond To Vegetation Fire

PASO ROBLES, CA – At approximately 4:50 p.m. on Thursday June 12th, Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services was dispatched to the area North of Niblick Bridge in the Salinas Riverbed for a reported vegetation fire.

The first arriving unit reported approximately 1/2-acre fire burning within the Salinas Riverbed, to the west of Wendy’s. Crews were able to contain the fire at approximately three acres. Due to the recently grazed firebreaks, crew were able to safely engage the fire and protect critical infrastructure in the area.

Three fire engines and three Chief Officers from Paso Robles responded. Under the cities Automatic and Mutual Aid Agreements, five additional fire engines, one bulldozer, two hand crews, one Battalion Chief, one air attack plane from Cal Fire/SLO County Fire, and adjacent communities responded. A total of 65 firefighters contained the fire in less than an hour. Additionally, Paso Robles Police Department responded to assist with traffic and road closures. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Paso Robles Emergency Services Respond To Early Morning Structure Fire

PASO ROBLES, CA — On Saturday, June 7, 2025, at approximately 5:07 AM, Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to a reported commercial structure fire at 2508 Spring Street in Paso Robles.

The first arriving unit found a fully involved deck and tree on fire, threatening the structure. Paso Robles fire crews were able to quickly knock down the fire before it extended into the building, allowing additional responding resources to be cancelled. No injuries were reported.

Two fire engines, one truck, and one Battalion Chief from Paso Robles responded. Under the City’s automatic aid agreements, two fire engines and one Battalion Chief from CAL FIRE/San Luis Obispo County Fire, along with a truck from Atascadero Fire, also responded to assist. The Paso Robles Police Department and San Luis Ambulance provided additional support.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Paso Robles Police Investigate Towards Elementary School

PASO ROBLES – On 05/27/2025 at approximately 1pm, Paso Robles Police Department school resource officers were notified of a possible threat towards students and staff at Virginia Peterson Elementary School. The messages occurred over the weekend and through social media.

After a joint investigation with the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District, it was determined the threat was not credible.

Paso Robles Police Make Arrest In Armed Robbery Investigation

PASO ROBLES – On Sunday, May 25th, 2025, at about 1:30 pm, the Paso Robles Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery in the parking lot of AMPM, located at 195 Niblick Road, in Paso Robles.

Officers arrived on scene to discover a 19-year-old male had been followed to the location and ambushed just as he was preparing to leave. The suspect, armed with a handgun, assaulted the victim and robbed him while he was seated in his vehicle. During the struggle, the firearm discharged inside the vehicle, but no one was struck. The suspect then fled the scene in a white Ford pickup.

Detectives from the Paso Robles Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) responded and quickly determined the incident was a targeted attack. Investigators tracked the suspect’s vehicle to Madera, California.

With assistance from the Madera County Sheriff’s SWAT Team, SET detectives executed a search warrant in the early morning hours of May 26 at a residence in the 20700 block of Brightwood Road, in Madera. There, they located and arrested Isaac Adrian Ramirez (22, Madera).

Ramirez was transported to San Luis Obispo County Jail, where he was booked on 245(a)(2) PC, assault with a firearm, 211 PC, robbery, and 664/215(a) PC, attempted carjacking. His bail is set at $500,000.

Paso Robles Police Investigate Armed Robbery

PASO ROBLES, CA – On May 25, 2025, at approximately 1:28 PM, the Paso Robles Police Department responded to a reported armed robbery in the 100 block of Niblick Road.

Through investigation it was learned a 19-year-old male of Paso Robles was robbed by an unknown male suspect and during a struggle, a firearm was discharged. The suspect fled the scene, and the victim later sought treatment for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.

Paso Robles Emergency Services Contain Kitchen Fire Friday Night

PASO ROBLES, CA – On Friday, May 17, 2025, at approximately 8:24 p.m., Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to a reported structure fire at 818 Sycamore Canyon.

First-arriving firefighters were on scene within four minutes and observed moderate smoke coming from the front and side of the residence. Fire crews quickly made entry, rescued a large dog from inside the home, and successfully contained the fire to the kitchen area. No residents were home at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported.

A total of three fire engines and a battalion chief from Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to the scene. Through the City’s automatic aid agreement, an additional fire engine and battalion chief from CAL FIRE/San Luis Obispo County Fire Department and one engine from Atascadero Fire Department also responded. Paso Robles Police Department and San Luis Ambulance provided additional assistance.

Paso Robles Emergency Services Responds To Vegetation Fire

PASO ROBLES, CA – At approximately 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to reports of a vegetation fire behind 1811 North River Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered approximately one-quarter acre of vegetation burning in the riverbed area, involving trees and heavy brush. Fire crews acted quickly, containing the fire within 20 minutes. Full extinguishment was completed within the following hour.

A total of three fire engines and one Battalion Chief from Paso Robles responded to the incident. In accordance with the City’s automatic aid agreements, two fire engines and one Battalion Chief from Cal Fire/San Luis Obispo County Fire Department also responded. In total, fifteen firefighters were involved in the response, with the Paso Robles Police Department providing traffic control support.

The cause of the fire has been determined to be related to homeless activity in the area.

Paso Robles Police Investigate Death Of A 6 Year Old

PASO ROBLES – On Saturday, May 10th, 2025, at about 5:57 pm, the Paso Robles Police Department was notified by the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department regarding the death of a 6-year-old boy at Twin Cities Hospital, in Templeton. Officers responded to the hospital and started an investigation. Due to the seriousness of the incident, the Paso Robles Police Department Detective Bureau was called out to investigate the circumstances.

The initial investigation indicates the child was transported to the hospital by his father, Briant ReyesEstrada, 27, of Paso Robles. It is suspected the child sustained life-threatening injuries, possibly heat related, while inside a vehicle, which ultimately resulted in his death. Detectives believe ReyesEstrada’s vehicle may have been parked in the Paso Robles Inn parking lot for several hours prior to the incident.

Briant ReyesEstrada was arrested for 187(a) PC, murder, and 273a(a) PC, willful harm/injury to child, likely to produce great bodily injury. ReyesEstrada was booked at the San Luis Obispo County Jail. ReyesEstrada is being held without bail.

The Paso Robles Police Department is working closely with partner agencies to conduct a thorough investigation. Updates will be provided as new information becomes available.

Paso Robles Police Investigate Online Gaming Concern Monday Morning

PASO ROBLES – On May 5, 2025 at approximately 11:00am, staff at the Paso Robles High School alerted the school resource officer of an online comment that raised concerns about the safety of campus. The threat was not credible. All students and staff are safe.
