Paso Robles Police Arrest 2 For Theft And Narcotics

On 05/13/2024, at 1604 hours, Paso Robles Police Officers responded to a report of two males stealing from Target. Further investigation revealed that Christopher Arreola, 28, and Brennan Visser, 42, both from Fresno, had stolen approximately $2000 worth of items from the store. Arreola fled in a black Ford Focus, while Visser fled on foot.

When officers attempted to pull over Arreola, he rear-ended an unrelated vehicle and then fled on foot. Officers pursued him on foot and took him into custody. Fortunately, no one was injured in the collision. Inside Arreola’s vehicle, officers located a small amount of narcotics, burglary tools, and stolen property.

Arreola was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on multiple charges, including felony theft, possession of narcotics, warrants, possession of burglary tools, and DUI-drugs.

Officers located Visser in an adjacent parking lot, where he was arrested without incident. He was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail.

Vehicle Crashes Into Building Tuesday Morning

On 05/07/2024, at 1045 hours, Paso Robles Police Officers responded to a report of a traffic collision at 1313 Park St.. Further investigation revealed a black Mercedes-Benz that had crashed into the front of Thomas Hill Organic. Officers contacted the driver, who had mistaken his vehicle’s brake petal for the gas petal.

The driver was evaluated by officers on scene, and it appears drugs or alcohol were not a factor in this collision. Additionally, no one was injured because of this collision.

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with further information is asked to contact the PRPD.

Paso Robles Police Investigate Armed Carjacking Saturday Night

On 04/27/2024 at 9:50pm, Paso Robles Police Officers responded to a report of an armed carjacking in the 3400 block of Oak St. Officers arrived and contacted the victim who reported 5 Hispanic males wearing face masks exited a red sedan, two suspects brandished black handguns and one had a knife.

The suspects took the victim’s vehicle by force and fled the area.

At approximately 10:55pm, Atascadero PD advised they had located the victim’s vehicle in their city unoccupied. APD Officers did surveillance on the vehicle for approximately an hour with no movement seen. PRPD units responded to the area and processed the vehicle for evidence. At this time all suspects are still outstanding.

Crews Extinguish Structure Fire Sunday Afternoon

PASO ROBLES, CA – At approximately 12:35 p.m. on Sunday April 21, Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to the 400 Block of Cherokee Court for a reported structure fire.

Firefighters arrived at scene, to discover a fire burning in a back bedroom with the occupant still attempting to exit the house. The resident was assisted outside, and firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.

Two fire engines, one ladder truck and a Battalion Chief from Paso Robles Fire responded to the incident. Under the City’s automatic aid agreement, one engine and a Battalion Chief from Cal Fire/SLO County and one engine from Atascadero responded. Additional assistance was provided by Paso Robles Police Department and San Luis Ambulance Service.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Emergency Crews Rescue Three From Plane Crash Friday Morning In Paso Robles

PASO ROBLES, CA – On Friday April 19, 2024 at 11:24 am Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to a aircraft off the runway at the Paso Robles Municipal Airport, located at 4900 Wing Way.

First arriving firefighters found an aircraft 300 feet off the runway that had flipped over and was on its roof. Upon making access to the plane there were three people in the plane that needed assistance in getting out. The plane was noted to be leaking fuel from both wings, this was controlled by firefighters while extricating the patients. In all 2 patients were treated at the scene and one was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Two fire engines, a truck, a heavy rescue, an airport crash rescue and one Battalion Chief from Paso Robles responded. Under the City’s automatic aid agreement one battalion chief and one fire engine responded from CAL FIRE/SLO County. A total of 15 firefighters responded to the emergency with additional assistance provided by the Paso Robles Police Department and San Luis Ambulance Service.

The scene was turned over to the NTSB for further investigation.

Local Law Enforcement Conduct Compliance Check Friday Night

PASO ROBLES (CA) – On Friday, April 12, 2024, the Paso Robles Police Department, along with the San Luis Obispo County Probation Department, California State Parole Office conducted a city-wide Probation / Parole Compliance Operation, focused on offender accountability and community safety. Twenty subjects were contacted based on their parole or probation status. Officers seized Fentanyl (21 grams), Psilocybin Hallucinogens mushrooms (11 grams), weapons (brass knuckles), and ammunition. The following subjects were arrested and were booked at the San Luis Obispo County Jail.

Raul Munoz (27 years of age from Paso Robles) – Violation of Parole.

Sarah Dukes (42 years of age from Paso Robles)- Possession of Controlled Substance and Violation of Probation.

Maximo Hernandez (41 years of age from Paso Robles) – Felony evading, Possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, violation of parole.

Izaiah Coleman (20 years of age from Paso Robles) – Violation of Post-Release Community Supervision (PRCS).

Jesse Torres (44 years of age from Paso Robles) – Felon in possession of ammunition and Violation of Parole.

Tyler Whitener (26 years of age from Paso Robles) – Violation of Parole.

Paso Robles Police Respond To A Suicidal Person On Niblick Bridge

PASO ROBLES, CA – On 03/30/24 at 1059 hours, PRPD Dispatch received several 911 calls regarding a male subject on the railing of the Niblick Bridge.

PRPD Officers responded to the scene and located the male subject sitting on the top of the fence along the north side of the Niblick Bridge. This portion of the bridge is above CA Hwy 101 SB. The male subject was not responsive to officers attempting to assist him upon arrival. An assistance request was sent to the California Highway Patrol for traffic control, and a request was sent to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff for a crisis negotiator.

A PRPD officer who has had mental health and crisis intervention training saw that the subject was in significant crisis. The officer made the decision to quickly intervene and pulled the subject off the fence to safety. The subject was not injured and transported to Twin Cities Community Hospital for further evaluation.

Paso Robles Police Investigate Injury Traffic Collision

On 3/28/24 at about 6:43 pm a single vehicle traffic collision was reported in the area of Caballo Pl. and Calle Chorro. Officers located an overturned black SUV in the roadway, with no one inside of it. Officers located a female hiding in the brush nearby. She was determined to be a passenger of the vehicle and was attempting to flee the collision. She sustained minor injuries and was later transported to a local area hospital. The passenger disclosed the driver was a Hispanic male that she suspected of being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol at the time of the collision. The male fled the scene after the collision and is still outstanding at this time.

Paso Robles Police Arrest One For Elder Abuse

Paso Robles CA – On 03/25/24 around 10:15am Paso Robles Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from a 71-year-old victim who reported his 42-year-old son assaulted him inside his home. Officers responded to the 2300 block of Oak Street and located the victim outside the home, suffering from injuries to his face and arm.

While the victim was being treated by the Paso Robles Fire Department, the suspect, Brian Andres, walked out of the residence but quickly returned inside once he noticed law enforcement personnel on scene. Andres barricaded himself inside the home and after over an hour of attempted negotiations, PRPD Officers forced entry into the home, and Andres was taken into custody without further incident.

Andres was arrested for felony elder abuse, with an enhancement due to the victim’s age, and a probation violation. Andres was booked at the San Luis Obispo County jail.

One Person Killed In Traffic Collision Saturday Night In Paso Robles

PASO ROBLES, CA – Paso Robles Police Department Traffic Division responded for a vehicle rollover with fatality.

On Saturday March 23, 2024, at approximately 9:33pm, PRPD dispatch received a call of a single vehicle rollover down an embankment in the area of Buena Vista Drive and Highway 46 East. When Officers arrived on scene it was determined to be a traffic collision which involved a white Dodge Ram pickup with 3 occupants. One of the occupants was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased on scene. The other two occupants were transported to an area hospital with serious, but non-life threating injuries. During the preliminary investigation, it was determined that alcohol was believed to be a factor in this collision, and it was determined none of the occupants were wearing their seatbelts.
