PASO ROBLES – On Saturday, March 29th, 2025, the Paso Robles Police Department responded to report of a possible DUI vehicle driving in the center of the roadway on Spring

Officers located and stopped the vehicle in the 400 block of Spring Street. During the stop, the vehicle fled from officers northbound on Spring Street. The pursuit entered the downtown area and Officers attempted to box the vehicle in, however were unsuccessful. Shortly after, Officers were able to successfully deploy spike strips which stopped the vehicle in the 1200 block of Spring Street. The driver was apprehended and identified as Luis Urrea 27, San Diego. Luis Urrea was arrested for 2800.2 VC (reckless evasion), and was booked at the San Luis Obispo County Jail.
