Due to the extreme heat and concerns for the health and safety of our community members, the Paso Robles Police Department and Paso Robles Emergency Services have made the decision to postpone today’s planned Open House at the Public Safety Center. We understand that this event is an exciting opportunity for citizens to engage with their local first responders, but public health and safety must always come first.
The new date for the Open House is **Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 4:30-6:30 PM. We encourage everyone to mark their calendars and join us for this fun and informative event, where you can meet our dedicated team, explore safety equipment, and learn more about the services that keep Paso Robles safe.
In the meantime, we urge all residents to take precautions during this excessive heat:
Stay indoors as much as possible and avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours.
Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Be mindful of vulnerable populations, including the elderly, children, and pets, who are at higher risk of heat-related illnesses.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing everyone on October 16th. Stay safe, stay cool, and we’ll see you soon!
